Research Works

My research method focused on gathering empirical data from a real system, analysing this data to look for useful patterns or violations of the design assumptions used by the network, exploiting these findings to improve the system, and then empirically measuring the benefit of these changes. I firmly believe that it is necessary to experiment with real methods to get useful results. Present policies are too complex to model analytically - even a small error in the model can overwhelm or distort the effect of a change to the system. So I believe in collaboration and the value of working as part of a community. I have done collaborative works with R&D organizations in Thiruvananthapuram. Many of these research projects are funded by R&D and Government organizations. Some of such projects are,

  1. Genome Designer: Language and tool for Bioinformatics(March 2010 - June 2012) with Centre for Systems & Synthetic Biology, University of Kerala and Tranvencoreanalytics, Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram
  2. OligoPredict: Antisense Oligonuliotide design & prediction server - April 2010 - October 2010) with Department of Computational Biology & Bioinformatics, University of Kerala
  3. IntmiR: Database server for intronic microRNA deceases & pathways (April 2010 - October 2010) with Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram
  4. miRWorks: microRNA workbench server (March 2009 - September 2010) with Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology & Department of Computational Biology & Bioinformatics, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram
  5. SNP - miRNA target identification (March 2008 - September 2009) with Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram
  6. Deleterious SNP Prediction: (March 2008 - September 2008) with XzeogenicS: Life Science Education & Research Centre, Thiruvananthapuram
